Community update: Week 6

So one more week has passed… testing this new event really makes time fly!

The browser and app teams

This week is update week, and as we roll out the newest and shiniest version of Grepolis to you, our team has been working hard “In Demeter’s name”! Also this week we are bringing to you an event to Grepolis. Most of the mechanics are known to you, we combined and fine tuned the best of previous events, took your collective feedback and came up with “in Demeter’s name”. As always don’t forget that your feedback is very important.

    Ricardo,

I have played on a lot of inno’s games from The West, Forge of Empires and Elvenar, But I have been playing Grepolis for a little over 2 years and I have come to notice that there is a gross unfairness built into the game that I have not noticed in any of the other games from inno. That being the effect of the premium features has on the ability to be competitive within the game. I feel at the moment that the players who play using the premium features in Grepolis have too much of an advantage and its not fair on those who do not.

Its nigh on impossible to compete with players who can build their walls up from level 0 to 25 in less than an hour, A level of production that is impossible without spending a lot of gold and that is what Iam talking about. The ability to roll out a massive amount of troops in a matter of seconds is avaliable to those who spend. This does provide a massive advantage to those who do spend. This is not something that I have noticed when playing the other games offered by inno and as a result I consider it rather unfair. On the West for example it is possible to play and be competitive in fort battles and duels even against players who use premium buffs however On Grepolis to be sucessful you have to be spending money. As a result the players who do tend to group into one large alliance and they pretty much run the server killing the game and making some rather uncompetitive worlds. While good for inno that they are spending, This has upset a lot of players within the game that often do not stick around to see it to conclusion.

While I know the issue the gold will touch a few nerves and I realize Innogames is a business and the bottomline is king, I would at least propose the idea of a daily cap on gold spending, Say for example 500 gold a day..

Even this will make it possible for the players who don’t spend a lot on gold to be competitive at the game and it would make the game and the worlds more competitive. Also it would make the fairer to ALL players..

I hope you take this idea into consideration.

Please not so much events! My friends in the game are stopping playing because of the events:((((((

    • Lille Lupp says:

I concur. These events have an deteriorating effect on the game. They are too tiresome and taxing for people who wants to have a normal game. And noone seems to like them. Perhaps except the small percentage who goes berserk with using gold. But they are a minority, and its driving most other out of the game.

Wow, what a coincidence, you have the same IP and nearly the same email address than the previous guy you are referring to 🙂 Are you the same person? Anyway thanks for your feedback. We will consider it.
