Dear Community,
Welcome to the community update. Here is a quick summary of what happened in calendar weeks 11 and 12 and a small outlook for future development.
Researching changes in early game phase & new forum layout proposals
In an effort to enable new players to become Grepolis masters, we plan to implement some changes that we hope will make understanding the game and surviving the first weeks a little easier.
Nils has already presented our ideas for a small change in the order of researches. Yet there is more to come, so keep your eyes peeled!
Those of you who follow our updates regularly have already spotted that we are working on improving the layout of our forums. For those who missed it, here is a little discourse on what we have planned. Weβre looking forward to reading your feedback!
Please note that these mockups are in no way final and may be altered before this graphical update is released later this year.
v2.134
v2.134 was released this week. This version contains changes and preparations in regards to the activation of Artemis for all game worlds in v2.135.
As soon as all 6 gods are available for all players, we will be able to offer awards and rewards related to their respective units. Unfortunately this was not possible previously as the different activation states would have caused errors in game worlds where Artemis was not available.
Next version preview
The sprint for version 2.135 will end this week. Apart from taking preparations for upcoming events we have adjusted the handling of current events in the Greposcore overview. This change will allow us to handle recurring events better and ensure that the right graphics and categories are displayed.
As mentioned earlier, the goddess Artemis will be activated on all game worlds. While her powers and units will be enabled immediately after the activation, awards and other related features will follow with later implementations.
Last but not least we have worked on improving the notifications about the start of the era of world wonders. Previously each player was informed only upon starting a new session after the era has started. Now we will make sure that everyone is aware of the endgame race shortly after it started.
The current update schedule for v2.135 is as follows:
Tuesday, April 4th: NL, SE and SK market
Wednesday, April 5th: international roll-out

Hi, Aris here from Greece. I’ve been playing the game for almost six years and i could say i’ve seen almost every change from the very begging. What i didn’t like about the new design in the farming village is and i hope it will be fixed because it seems more like bug or an error rather than o choice by chance, is the exchanging products, that each village gives. For example i have a city, that gives wood, +rock, -silver. If i want to exchange some of them with the villages in the island, the only offer that i get is rock. It’s quite frustrating to be in an island, that gives plus rock and the only think i get from exchanges-merchandise from the 6 villages is rock again. Same thing happens to other players, where in islands with +wood, they only get but back in exchange with the village wood. I think the ratio should be at least 3/2/1 in any island not with specific order, but it would much better than what we are facing now where the ratio is 6-0-0.
a city in an island that gives wood,+rock,-silver…
PS sorry for my bad english i hope that you get what i want to say.
Hello Aris t., you have a very valid point. Even if that is something that does not happen often, we should make sure it does not happen at all as having a 6-0-0 island is not good for anyone. We are looking into the best way to improve this.
Thanks for the feedback.
Ps.: Your english is fine. π
The 20% def bonus you can get is way to much
It is almost impossible to conquer a WW city on this moment.
You need only one 20% def bonus for a whole day
It is impossible to add a 20% att bonus on each attack
Hello HBB-1,
You have a valid point, I will take a more careful look into our Attack/Defense Boosts to see what can be done about that. Thank you for the feedback. π
In Update 2.41 was a rebalance for the same reason.
max 10% att and max 5% def for island quest
I see that. Like I said I will look into it, since this comes from an older update I will have to talk to the team and check why it has been changed so we can get to a more educated decision. π
Hi guys, what about the hoplite/chariot rebalance? There is no new info. π
After a reviewing all the feedback from the community, we decided to keep the Hoplite and the Chariot as they are. The tactical usage of each of these units is something that the community in general likes and we do not want to change what is not “broken”. If you have any insights about the matter we will be glad to hear it.
No, it’s fine. However, would you consider to rebalance the building time for senate at early levels? It’s too long I think… more than 1 hour to build lvl 10 when other buildings are built in 15 minutes.
As the Senate is a key building and reduces the building time of all others, we feel that it should take a little longer than the others. But as soon as I have the time, I will take a look and see is there is room for improvement in the building times balancing :).
