v2.147
The update to browser version 2.147 happened this week. Mobile version 2.147 has been sent off for submission but is still subject to further review due to a required name change for the iOS version after apple introduced a new character limit for app names.
The amount of visible content in this update was relatively small as we invested most of the development time on technical optimizations and preparations for future events to conclude the year 2017 with. You may have spotted, however, that Militia no longer has any attack value as we found they don’t get involved in any offensive action anyway. Additionally, we have given the Fall event the new name “Incantation Circle” and finally fixed some bugs of course.
Next version preview
The sprint for version 2.148 was concluded this week.
The main goal of this version was to go back to the tutorial and early game phase and look into improvements for new players. The first thing we tackled was the inconvenient behavior of tutorial arrows for some quests. We moved them so they would no longer overlap important interface elements or texts, removed them in some cases in which they were no longer needed (e.g. while waiting for a recruitment to finish) and tweaked the way animations were handled to remove flicker and improve speed. Furthermore, we adjusted several texts, for instance for farming villages, indicating that a cooldown means that the next resource collection can only happen in x amount of time.
Last but not least we replaced several graphics to improve the readability and contrast of them. This will not only help colorblind people to have less trouble deciphering icons for a unit’s defensive values and the quest log icon.
The current update schedule for v2.148 is as follows:
Wednesday, October 4th: NL, SE and SK market
Wednesday, October 4th: international roll-out
If you would like to experience these changes before the update hits all our live worlds, join us on our public beta servers. To learn when new features become available, you can follow the daily changelogs on the beta forums.

Dear Steffi,
I’ll really wonder, that you will updating on Tuesday, October 3rd the NL, SE and SK market, because it is the celebration day of reunion in Germany, do you?
You are of course absolutely right! 🙂
We initially discussed updating NL, SE and SK on the 2nd but ultimately moved the update to the 4th. The post has been corrected. Thank you!

Could you correct it again? 😛
