Community update: Week 41

In the last update we changed the design of the culture tab in the Agora. The reason behind that change lays mainly in the revamp of the farming villages, that is currently under development, where battle points are becoming more and more a currency that you can use in several places. All resources, favor, gold and hero coins already had their place in the UI except the battle points, therefore we also added them in the UI now. The Agora itself was in its old state inconsistent. Below the images we normally display the costs to start the festival. Only the victory procession was different. Especially for new players this display was hard to understand. Now you can see how many battle points you need to start a victory procession and in the UI you can directly see how many available battle points you have. Another inconsistency were the missing buttons, we always want to display buttons where a player can do something and they are grey if some requirements are not met. This helps new players to understand that they could do something here if they fulfill the requirements. By adding the buttons we accidentally increased the window height too much and we are sorry that this window might overlap some other elements now on mobile browsers for tablets and small resolutions. Thanks for your feedback about that and also about the problem with the bigger buttons. We heard you and are already working on possible improvements to make you happy again.

Here is a first glance at the next iteration that will probably come with one of the next updates.

The browser version

The team has been working on the awaited halloween event, there are a few changes. We will be counting on you testing it on our beta server and give us a shout about your feelings towards this event. We already took your feedback about not enough defensive units as rewards and will add that to the final version. Also we exchanged the unit graphics on beta to gather your feedback about this more modern style.

The app version

So this week we finally got to do our jump of 3 versions. Our newest version 2.97 contains all changes done in Version 2.95 and 2.96. We added some neat improvements like new sidebar controls in map and town overview and info screens and fixed some annoying bugs (2.96), and we also exchanged the old unit graphics and added all new graphics to the app. Besides that we also fixed some bugs on all versions.
