We have a small work-in-progress for you today. First, we are finally tackling the old system messages. You know them as the red and green stripes that pop up in the game as feedback for an error or success. We think they are not really fitting into the game and look a little ugly. That’s why we will make them look like this:
While we are doing this, we will introduce a third banner category, the blue one. The blue one will be used to notify you once an award has been unlocked.
As you can see in the above screenshot, there is additional information in the banner, the most interesting being the number. This is connected to a feature we are also working on right now, the “Grepolis Score”. With this, we want to give you one place to track your collected awards as well as all the awards that you can achieve, together with an overall score that shows your progress in collecting the awards. Oh, and did I mention that we throw in a bunch of new awards as well once we release the feature?
We think that the Grepolis Score will add a very rewarding long-term motivation (no worries, this is NOT the end-game feature), so we decided to place the score and the button with which you can reach the awards window (more screens will come soon) in the main interface.
For this, we had to slightly restructure the upper left corner, but we are very happy with the result. Removing the minimap was a decision we took after long discussions and testing with long-term players.
No one of the players we asked noticed that the map was gone in the above screen, did you at first glance? Let us know in the comments!
Will the Grepolis Score Points be available to purchase anything or will they just be there for boasting purposes?

the Grepolisscore is displaying your whole accounts progression on the awards. That will enable you to compare your Grepolisscore with other players worldwide and brag with it. The current design does not allow to purchase anything from them.

It would be very interesting to use something like levels and get special rewards for example 500 more storage on global for your account when you reach lvl 10 or something like this

adding another level for the points was an idea that was raised and discussed in the Design Team as well. But as we want to put out the feature for you guys we limited us in the first place. The first goal to make the awards visibile, second adding more value to them with the point system and third make the unlocking of them more clear were the once we wanted to focus on.
This still might be a topic for a further improvement later on. Than unlocking some smaller rewards could be interesting too.
