Community Update: Week 42

This is what happened since the last community update:

New Videocast

“Long time no see”, as we say… Today we recorded a new videocast! In this new video, Marcel will introduce you to the new Halloween Event. It will be released by end of next week. Stay tuned!

Beta Update 2.48

The development of the new Grepolis Update 2.48 has been finished on Friday. The latest changes have already been deployed on our beta environment (http://beta.grepolis.com). With this version we bugfixed the new user interface and started to implement the new Halloween Event. Thank to your feedback, we also reduced the challenging factor of the island quests.

The current update schedule is the following:

  • October, 22nd: SE and SK markets;
  • October, 23rd: international roll-out.

Current Progress

On Monday, our team has started working on the development of version 2.49. The focus for this version is on finishing the new Halloween Event (we hope to deploy it on beta this Friday) and polishing the new User Interface.

Bugs

  • 27 bug reports have been created this week
  • 21 bugs have been resolved this week
  • 3 bug reports have either been a duplicate or invalid
  •  30 bug reports are currently unresolved

Bugs hot-fixed during the week

  • Fixed some issues with the warehouse size;
  • Fixed some issues with the bonus of the pyramids;
  • Fixed loading issues for some players;
  • Fixed some issues when you had to attack or send units to an island quest.

  • 5.01 hours average first response time
  • 242 tickets rated
  • 3.90 rate average (of 5)

    Hi, I have question. I cant open allince forum in new app. And reports, ranks etc. are endless loading.

    Why rebalancing ‘http://devblog.grepolis.com/?p=60’ is not start already?
    It seem very more ultimate better. But it’s fail if it’s not in action yet.

      We had to postpone some of our features and changes, but the Rebalancing is still planned to be implemented as soon as possible.

      Sadly, we had to reorganize some of our planning, so the heroes got slightly postponed. We do not have a specific date, but we do our best to tackle the heroes as soon as possible, probably along with the rebalancing.

    Have you ever considered adding a user-configurable Night Bonus to a server?
    So you could select a continuous span of 6-8 hours. This would be suitable for people who work night time and add another aspect to recon (mapping out the enemies NB).

    To prevent abuse this would only be a one-time thing, so you can only set up your NB at the start of a server and never change it.

      Thanks for the idea, but it’s something that would confuse a lot of players if every player would have his / her own settings.

        I would propose some adjustment for the game win in agility.

        Since we started the Age of Wonders many players have left the game because of boredom as it has become very slow.

        In my view I think the problem is that it takes too many resources to festivals , this prevents sending to the wonders , on the other hand, when a player reaches a level high cities , in my case 200 , it takes many points of culture to conquer a new city with which the battles between players are very slim.

        My proposal is:

        1 º . – Reduce the amount of resources needed to make a festival to 12,000 units each, do not see why it has to send more stone than wood or silver.

        2º . – Reduce by 20 % the amount of culture points needed to level up culture.

        3º . – Lose 7 hours now last festivals to 5 since the difference between them and the larger gears is too much cheese .

        Changing these three things would achieve greater agility in the game and more participation , besides the Age of Wonders was more attractive because currently nobody cares nearly finish them and many players have left the game.

    bug fixed? I still have a lot of error with new UI. If i open a ticket the only answer i receive is “delete cache”, if i write on forum moderators answer: always is working fine
    So i think this is only a nightmare, tomorrow i’ll wake up and i’ll find my old grepolis UI working fine
