Community Update: Week 35

This week I think we are bringing you excellent news. In the previous weeks we talked about gold trading and also collected the initial feedback. We realized also that some communities were very forthcoming with their dislike of this new feature, but some were neutral and a few actually even liked this feature. So currently the plan towards this feature is keep it on our beta community and have a really good and deep look at the major concerns.

Some of our most important issues right now are how this actually will affect the balance of the game in the early stages.

But I said we had good news, and for some of you so far it’s not the news you are expecting. So lets talk about the good stuff now.



Yes, we are currently working on the rebalancing. What we have seen so far is that sometimes players will create armies that might lead them to a really complicated situation were they become too easy targets. Our rebalancing efforts are currently towards ending those critical pitfalls. So far this is in an intensive testing phase – my favorite part, we get to play a lot of the game! – but it is still to early to show results.



Oh yes! We are touching this subject. For quite some time this has been a silent issue that has troubled players and us. We have been working on a machine gun solution for this issue. Although it is not final, it is nearly there. And this is one of our current top priorities.

About this subject we will not talk much about it, but be assure we will do much on it.


Thracian conquest

Last but not least, Hercules just arrived at his final destination! Today we have launched the amazing event that conquered our players. Our German, French, Brazilian, Argentinian and Spanish players can live this unique experience!

    I appreciate you working on the bot issue. It’s getting annoying as hell… I hope though that the detection mechanisms won’t affect the use of some userscripts but I would rather take a pass on some functions if that would mean no or less bots for everyone.

    Amazing! Im excited for what the dev team is coming up with. If grepolis is ever “SUPER” successful, maybe creating a grepolis 2.0 will be nice but in 3D, containing everything from the original grepolis but in a 3D setting. You can build and set your walls, as well as place your buildings wherever you want, battle other players in real time, and colonize and conquer other cities! That will be an amazing RTS game! You guys should, i dont know, maybe even port the game on xbox 360! or on PS3! It will truly be amazing. I love grepolis, keep up the good work.
