Community update: Week 42

Sadly sometimes our efforts do not match with players’ expectations, but we are also able to see that and go back on track. This was the case for the new images for the units, your feedback was not as positive as we initially expected, and for that reason we decided to roll back this change on both browser and app.

The browser version

The team has been doing the very last polishing of the Halloween Event, some things will look familiar to you but there are improvements and new goodies. Plus, after some of your feedback we have added new rewards, but we are not going to spoil the fun of finding out on your own.

The app version

So we did it! 3 versions in one go, and this also meant that the app had more changes than usual, how are you enjoying the new app version so far? In the meantime, the version 2.98 is waiting for approval.

I think you guys need some help. Why do you change the units design ? There is no need.
This is what you have to do :
    – continue to work on the early game changes. You even said that this new update of the game won’t contain any paying features. This will make happy players, and for my personal opinion I think these changes are quite cool.
    – continue to work on regular events. Even if sometimes players complain, that’s not very important. I also suppose that they make much money for Innogames, so you can continue working on other projects.Just let us take pleasure by playing at them and that’s all. Just take attention to serious feedbacks, it could really give you good ideas.
    – continue to work on the endgame revamp. We need a new one, and I think this has been told many times.

For the app, there are plenty things to do. You can put events, and as Nill answered to my question on this subject in the Innogames tv episode ( a quick hello to my community, the French one :-)) it asks a lot of work. So you can meanwhile work on the forum BBcodes and to put reports.

This makes you a lot of things to do, but Innogames works hard and gives us to players the best browser games. A big thank you to all the developers who work on these games, and if you want more ideas, just pick some in the roadmap in the planned section.

Some players are complaining about the events?

Most players complain about the events, some of them quit during or after each event. Not so sure about the longevity of the frequency of these events, although you probably make money on them in the short run.

    • Quentin says:

They make money on the events, but thanks to this money they can work on important things like on the app and the early game changes.

      • arnulf øverland says:

I realize they are making money of the event. Throwing these event without an assumption of making money would be slightly absurd, right?

Im just not sure its worth, as I said earlier, in the long run. Making money, yes, but losing players along the way.

For a lot of players this game has become unplayable during the events, sure they can active vacation mode while the events are on, but considering that 25% of the time now is event-time, 42+14 days will hardly suffice, nevermind the fact that if you are absent during a quarter of the game it will make it slightly harder to keep up with the ones that dont, one would think.

Much easier to just quit altogether if youre in such a predicament, wouldnt you agree?

        • Quentin says:

Yes I agree then. But now we’re listening, what do you propose ? Because I don’t have any good solutions for everyone.
