Community update: week 31 & 32

Dear Community,

It’s time for another community update! Here’s what happened in calendar weeks 31 and 32.

Sparta vs. Hades & upcoming voting for the Grepolis Player Council

Hades is back and his undead troops are invading Grepolis! Take on the battle against Hades’ relentless forces with the help of Lysander’s Spartan warriors!
Our campaign event Sparta vs. Hades has returned and will reward you with powerful rewards for each victory against Hades’ minions. Make sure to not miss this great opportunity and take part in the event before it ends on August 27th.

At the same time the end of the candidacy period for the Grepolis Player Council drawing near. If you are interested in taking a stand for the community, you may still announce your candidacy on our forums until August 13th.
As soon as the candidates have been confirmed to meet all requirements, we will hold an in-game voting to have the candidates elected by the community. We currently estimate the voting to start on August 17th. Make sure to follow the announcements in-game and in the forums to keep informed about the process!

This Tuesday and Wednesday we updated the browser version to 2.144 and submitted the respective mobile version for approval.

Version 2.144 contains some quality of life changes for the browser version, targeted to make the handling of island quests and the simulator a lot easier and as convenient as possible. For the simulator we introduced a button to swap the input for attacker and defender easily, keeping the same numbers but simply exchanging the roles in battle.

For the quest log we added a button to select an eligible city for the island quest that is currently being viewed. If there are several cities available on the respective island, a city can be selected from the dropdown menu. There is no more need to close the quest log or perform any other action as the quest can then be finished directly from the quest log.

Have you played version 2.144 yet? What do you think about the changes? Make sure to give us your feedback below! 🙂

Next version preview

Sprint work for 2.145 was concluded this week.
While working on technical requirements and taking preparations for upcoming events, we also enabled the city selection for island quests also for our mobile app. Additionally we introduced a new button to easily return all stationed units from the agora. It doesn’t matter if you would like to return all your units from the selected city or if you would like to send back all support fellow players have sent to support your city. Now you won’t have to click separate buttons for every city they have been sent from/to but instead just use one button to retrieve them all.

The current update schedule for v2.145 is as follows:

Tuesday, August 22nd: NL, SE and SK market
Wednesday, August 23rd: international roll-out

As per usual you can test the upcoming changes on all our public beta worlds on Let us know what you think!

Hey guys, I have several questions:
    1) When are you going to fix the Forgotten password feature on the SK forum? It doesn’t work since the forum migration (that’s quite longtime, right?). We’ve reported it many times.
    2) What are the base values for units generating effects? I’ve noticed on the IQ rebalancing article on the wiki that for swordsmen, slingers, archers, it’s 6, for hoplites, it’s 5.. but what about chariots, horsemen, myth units?
    3) Any plans with hero worlds and Hyperborea? Are you discussing an opportunity to launch world wonders here? I’ve noticed that SE Achilles was closed after WWs’ era some time ago. Or launch a survey in first, if players agree the closing by WWs. These worlds are boring, it’s just about nonsense ghost cities and awards hunting.

      Hello Thass,

      1) That is fixed already. 🙂
      2) Like you said Swordsmen, Archers, Slingers are 6; Hoplites are 5; Riders are 2; and all other units are 1.
      3) About these worlds, we are currently looking into it but we have no information to disclose yet, we will have more news as soon as we can.
