Community Update: Week 51

This is what happened since the last community update:

2013 Coming to an End

As you may know, the holiday season is right around the corner and therefore not much will happen over the next two weeks. For this reason, there won’t be any community update for week 52 and 1. Therefore we would like to wish you a great holiday season and also take the opportunity to thank you all once again for your great support and contribution to this blog. We are looking forward to further developing Grepolis together next year.

Beta Update 2.52

The development of the new Grepolis Update 2.52 has been finished today. The latest changes have already been deployed on our beta environment (http://beta.grepolis.com). You can now test the new heroe feature in its latest state.

The update schedule hasn’t been yet decided but for sure we won’t update the game worlds before mid. January 2014.

Current Progress

Today, our team has started working on the development of version 2.53. With this version, the devs will work behind the scenes and improve some technical parts of the game.

The following stats are for activity between December 12th and December 18th:

Bugs

  • 28 bug reports have been created this week
  • 7 bugs have been resolved this week
  • 12 bug reports have either been a duplicate or invalid
  • 27 bug reports are currently unresolved

Bugs hot-fixed during the week

  • It was possible to recruit twice more units than possible with the Toolbox.

Support activity

  • 6113 tickets opened
  • 6403 tickets answered
  • 5.43 hours average first response time
  • 212 tickets rated
  • 3.69 rate average (of 5)

    About Heroes:Wouldn’t it be better if heroes level up in fights?

      In the initial concept, this was planned, yes. Heroes would have received experience points based on the amount of battle points gained.
      However, this idea was dropped for several reasons:
      – Having this opportunity can make it quite easy for you to level up all heroes quickly. This could lead to an inflation of Coins, as you won’t need them anymore to level up your heroes. An inflation is always bad. 😉
      – This option is not really fair for all Heroes of Wisdom, as they don’t fight as often as Heroes of War.

      Nonetheless, we will be thinking about additional ways of leveling your heroes.

    Where i can find formulas about the island quests like
    in the early stage of game to do a island quest, you must send 50 unities (you have 1500-3500 points) (5 x 10, isn’t it?) But if you reach 3501 points, you must send 60 unities to do the quest.
    But what happening if you’re in the middle stage of game (a quest at 4 hours)?
    Please, give me all formulas related to Island quests.

    I have been having a bug where it will not log me in. it said the player isnt real. some days it works but i hate how some days i cant play the game because i am unable to login. My world is Omega and my player name is Hunter7474.

    With 2013 done with, some points mentioned in the roadmap have not been fulfilled. So when can we expect….

    1. Heroes?
    2. revamping the end game system/changing WWs to introduce more fighting and reduce abuse?

      It will be rescheduled for 2014.

        lol, 2014 has 12 months to go. Any timelines for the 2 major developments I pointed out in terms of months?

          Heroes are a matter of weeks, we are currently polishing them. It is for sure planned for beginning of Q1. On the other hand, it is still uncertain when we are going to work on the world wonder revamp.
